Rare. Sundews shimmer and glisten as if the sun were glancing off their dew-covered leaves. But that's not dew. The leaves of sundew are covered with long, nectar-tipped tentacles.
Sundew tolerate the summer heat well. They originate from an area where temperatures above 90°F (32°C) commonly occur in summer.
Easy to grow. It germinates easily from seed as you have patience and is a good addition to balconies, gardens, and containers.
Propagate. Sundews can often be propagated through leaf, crown, or root cuttings, as well as through seeds.
Seeds should be gently pressed into the growing medium, covered lightly with soil, or left uncovered. Keep medium moist at 85-90+ degrees F. Seedlings will emerge in weeks or several months.
