Native to tropical regions of Africa and Asia, the name Cyanotis is derived from the Greek words Kyaneos, meaning "blue," and ous, obis, meaning "ear," reflecting the appearance of its flowers. These perennials (rarely annuals) have creeping shoots, with small flowers placed in axillary or apical curls, and the fruit presented in the form of a box.

Instructions for Planting and Care:

1. Illumination:

  • Bright, diffused lighting is essential.
  • Provide additional lighting in winter.

2. Temperature Regime:

  • Maintain a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius in the warm season.
  • In winter, lower the temperature to at least 12 degrees Celsius.

3. Humidity:

  • Moderate humidity; spraying is not necessary.

4. Watering:

  • Moderate watering in spring and summer, keeping the soil slightly moist.
  • Sparse and rare watering in winter, allowing the substrate to almost completely dry.

5. Top Dressing:
